Gotemba Premium Outlets: Where Shopping Becomes a Beautiful Experience!
Outlet shopping malls are popular throughout the world and Japan is no exception. There are many outlet shopping malls throughout Japan, where you can shop at the outlet stores of your favorite brands. Gotemba Premium Outlets, located in Gotemba, Shizuoka in Northeastern Japan is one of the most famous and beautiful outlet malls in all of Japan!
Gotemba Premium Outlets is a multi-tiered outlet mall that was built in the foothills directly opposite of Mt. Fuji creating the perfect breathtaking backdrop for any shopping experience!
There are several parking structures around Gotemba Premium Outlets. I highly recommend trying to park near the top of the mall so that you can take in the spectacular view at the best vantage point!
There are fun rides for the kids on the upper level of the mall.
There are also many restaurants for hungry shoppers to enjoy as well. However, I suggest that you arrive early if you want to try some of the more famous restaurants.
One of the most famous hamburg or hamburger steak restaurants sold out for the day before the mall even opened. The restaurant is called Sumiyaki Sawayaka Restaurant, (Charcoal grilled Tender Restaurant). It is famous for having extremely tender and delicious hamburger steaks.
Don’t worry, there is a food court as well where you can enjoy a large variety of different foods as well.
Gotemba Premium Outlets has been called the largest outlet mall in all of Japan and possibly one of the largest in all of the world! It boasts a whopping 290 shops for your shopping pleasure!
There are shops for every purpose and occasion!
I mostly went to Gotemba Premium Outlets for the view and I wasn’t disappointed in that regard! However, outlet malls have always been famous for having the best deals, but from what I price-checked that is not always the case. There were pots and pans on sale in the T-Fal store that were about Â¥2000 less expensive on Amazon.com! For me, the best deals have always been on shoes! If you are looking for shoes on the cheap, then outlet malls are your best shot!
Case in point, I found these clean Nike Air Flight Legacies which normally sell for between ¥9,000-¥15,000, ($57.58-$95.97US); but I got them for around ¥8,000, ($51.19US)! Score!
Whether you visit Getemba Premium Outlets for the view or to get a good deal on something new, I promise you will definitely be glad that you did!
